Water Damage Restoration in Anaheim Resort, CA

The Anaheim Resort is the roughly two square miles around Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue that the city zoned for hotels, the theme parks, and the convention trade. Behind the hotel towers, though, are the neighborhoods that went up at the same time as the park: 1950s and early 1960s ranch tracts along Ball Road, Walnut Street, and West Street, built for the people who worked there, and a scattering of small apartment buildings and motels from the same era that have been converted to housing since.

These are some of the oldest slab houses in the city, and the water underneath is the same hard groundwater that pits copper everywhere else in town. A 1956 ranch two blocks from the Harbor Boulevard gate has had the same slab lines for seventy years.

This site connects homeowners and property managers in the Resort area with an independent local water damage provider by phone. The provider meters the house or the unit and writes the scope from the numbers.

Anaheim Resort water damage in the tracts behind the hotels

A slab line that pitted under the kitchen and cupped the laminate is a slab leak cleanup, once the plumber has found and fixed it. A 1950s galvanized drain that finally backed up into a converted motel unit is a sewer backup cleanup. A low-pitched roof that has been re-covered twice and let a February storm into the attic is roof leak water damage.

Convention weeks, closed lanes, and the permit counter

The Anaheim Convention Center on Katella fills the surrounding streets during the big shows, and a crew hauling equipment into a house on Walnut Street plans around it, so mention a show week when you call. Rebuild permits for anything beyond drying go through the City of Anaheim's building counter, and converted motel units sometimes carry a different occupancy that the counter will ask about.
